“Being tender and open is beautiful. As a woman, I feel continually shhh’ed.
Too sensitive. Too mushy. Too wishy washy. Blah blah.
Don’t let someone steal your tenderness.
Don’t allow the coldness and fear of others to tarnish your perfectly vulnerable beating heart.
Nothing is more powerful than allowing yourself to truly be affected by things.
Whether it’s a song, a stranger, a mountain, a rain drop, a tea kettle,
an article, a sentence, a footstep, feel it all – look around you.
All of this is for you.
Take it and have gratitude.
Give it and feel love.”
There is so much truth in this quote, I keep rereading it and storing away each sentence in my mind.
The life I want to live is for me and for me alone, if it makes me happy to stop and snap pictures of random things I think are beautiful in some odd way, well, I'm going to do it.
It makes me happy to make other people happy, and I will never stop trying to do that.
I think somewhere in life, we lose what makes us, us.
We lose feeling, brush away a stranger, rush through a song, stay in when it rains.
We can find ourselves, not in things, but deep inside there's something, something that stirs when we appreciate a small sentiment.
You only live once :)
Appreciate life, appreciate people, appreciate the small things and give more than you get.
